Outside Air Temperature Sensor Range

I had an extra oat sensor that came with the engine sensor package so I decided to mount it on the engine side of the firewall.  I could not find a range on that sensor in the specs.  When I setup the gauge to show its temperature skyview limits the high end to 150 degrees.  Is that the limit?  Can the sensor measure higher?  I don't know what that temperature will be in operation but a little higher seems realistic.  If not is there something else to use for that application.  Does anyone know what temps to expect on the firewall?

Using the polynomial definitions for the sensor I see a 0 to 5 volt range of 157 to -46.  I have a couple of general purpose thermocouples on the fire wall side, one at a maneto, the other near the exhaust airflow. There are many sources and options for standard J and K type thermocouples... I got mine from www.omega.com
