P-Lead Tach Resistors???

Dynon,

I have the recommended 30K ohm resistors on my O-360's Slick Mag P leads at the switch.

On climbout, I sometimes get erratic RPM readings and occasional High RPM warnings that are false. In cruise, it reads normally most of the time.

Should I increase or decrease the resistor value to smooth this out?

Hehe - I would have guessed you to be the one answering this question!

My 30k works fine (single Bendix, don't have the LightSpeed hooked up because it's an older unit with only 5v output). Some day I'll care enough to have Klaus do the upgrade.

Increase it if you're catching "extra" unwanted revs.
