I flew the Skyview for the first time yesterday, my first ever flight with an EFIS. I found the ASI numbers took much more time to register in the brain than did the pointer on the dial of my old instrument. I had turned off the ASI bug during setup, thinking it was about as useful as pockets in your underpants. On my flight today I set the bug at my approach speed. It's FANTASTIC! It's easier to hold the bug on the pointer than to watch the old clock dial.
However I found that I was used to deploying the flaps according to the white arc, not the speed numbers. I couldn't see the arc on approach. Back at the hangar I looked very carefully at the airspeed markings and found it actually is there, well camouflaged.
My request is to increase the width of the coloured limitation markings to make them more visible. There is plenty of real estate on the PFD screen, particularly the full screen version.
Am I an orphan, or do others agree?

Peter
