Photos of Pinch Mount

Would like to see some photos showing the pinch mount mechanism and the unit mounted that way. Is it a friction fit or is it mechanically secure once installed, against shock and vibration? (Would not want it to fall out in flight.) Can the power cable be run through the mount, through the hole, to behind the panel?

This video has a demo that may or may not have quite the detail you're looking for.

But to describe - the beveled jaws end up wedging the mount into the panel. The return springs are very strong, and it's quite secure once you let the pinchers free. There are four studs that fit into the panel screw holes, preventing the mount from rotating.
