Pin outs for autopilot enunciator light

I'd like to suggest a pin out on the skyview for an enunciator light that either tells when the autopilot is engaged or disengaged (user selectable). The Van's RV12 has an autopilot disconnect switch that has a light on it and right now it can be connected to the autopilot power switch which tells when the power is on to the servos, but it doesn't tell when the A/P is engaged. This would be especially helpful for the RV12 which has an LED on the autopilot disconnect that does basically nothing.
Another pin out that I think would be helpful is when the Skyview is using the Skyview backup battery. I have an alternator out light, but it is triggered at a different voltage than when the skyview switches to the backup battery. These would be similar to the EMS Warning light pin out.

The SkyView screens clearly annunciate both of these conditions already, visually and audibly. What is the advantage of an external, redundant indication, and why do you find them more important than other indications in the system such as traffic?
