I am attempting to set up and calibrate my A/P in my RV-8. After a successful 'calibration', when I run a "Test"...the pitch servo chatters and does not move the elevator.
I noticed that the FORCE and SLIP show 0 (zero) in the setup menu...is this right?
I can't get my SkyView to let me change these values.
Do I have to flying to get access to these?

Thanks. First flight soon!

So that menu is status, not where you adjust. So you can't change those values. You want slip % to be very low, though, and force is more complicated to explain. A few starting questions:

-Under the roll and pitch axis menus, what are the torque values? If these are set very low, that could cause the servos to not be able to move
-Are you able to see the servo when it's making noise? Is the servo shaft itself actually moving at all? The force of the servo is transmitted to the arm through a screw that can shear if there is internal failure of the servo, but this shouldn't have happened if you're testing.
- Does the control surface / stick / servo move freely when not engaged in test mode?
