Pitot system test on 180

Is there any way to test the pitot system before first flight. I've installed the Dynon Flightdek 180 and slightly pressureized the system but get no airspeed reading. Everything else works beautifully. Am I missing something? Also, the pitot line will not maintain pressure...it requires constant breath. When loosened from the connection on the Dynon, the line will maintain vaccuum when plugged at the unit and sucked at the pitot tube. This means no leaks in the line to the unit.

Thanks,

Our pitot tube leaks by design to vent moisture. A shop can hook up a pitot/static test set to the lines upstream of the pitot if you want it tested to that level. Or, to make sure that the unit works at all, just press your finger over the pitot port (middle one) on the back of the unit. You can create 100ish knots of IAS pretty easily. You won't damage the unit by doing this.

i dont see how this can be true if the pitot tube leaks by design????
