We have a 60 amp. , Plane-power alt. It has an annunciator for if the unit is not charging. Can this be connected to a Skyview system, so the alert will be like all the other Skyview alerts?
Thanks Ron

Easy - just set the volts threshold lower than the normal system, won't take long to get a warn if the Alternator is u/s :D

Re: Plane-power alt. - white wire for bulb...

i just clipped mine... it is pretty redundant when the skyview is monitoring the amps and voltage coming from the alternator already and will provide status and alarm with significantly more detail than a light bulb indicator.

I don't know what the output of the alternator warning is, but if it's voltage varies, or if it pulls to ground on a failure or lack of failure, it will work.

As mentioned, the EMS monitoring in SkyView is probably a much better detection method.
