Pointers on RMI

My set up is D180 with AP74 and HS34, Garmin 430W and Garmin 496.  I can use all the nav sources on the HSI individually but I have no needles on the RMI when using these.  Also when a VOR or localizer is tuned I do not get the identify or freq displayed on the HSI page.  I am in the middle of my test flying and it was a log time ago that I set up the panel, I am sure there is some setup that I am missing but I can't seem to find the answer.

How do I get the needles on the RMI to display?  Thanks for any help.
