Hi -
Some time ago I posted that my D-10A began to have intermitent power interuptions (turn off then re-start immediately) only AFTER I installed the lastest firmware. Understanding the notion that the unit is moved etc., to do this, I went back and checked all my wires and all seems well. I was hoping you could answer some questions for me -
1 - Am I still the only one with this issue?
2 - Is it possible that the firmware did not load correctly and that this the problem even though it appeared to load correclty?
3 - I have the remote compass - is there anything that can be going on with the remote compass or its connections to cause the main unit to flicker on and off?
Thnak you
Craig B.

1 - I don't think we've seen any other instances of this.

2 - Probably not the problem, but you can always try re-uploading the latest firmware version anyway. Also, if you send a zip file of your firmware backup to support@dynonavionics.com, we can load it on a unit here and see if there is anything going on that may be firmware-related.

3 - Possibly. If the power line that goes to the EDC were grounding out, that can cause power issues.

Everything was great with my 10A until first engine start today.  The EMS was fine except a negative amp reading, and after a couple minutes I turned on the EFIS.  It powered up and then shut right back down.  Started itself back up and then shut down again.  It did this several times during the several minutes the engine was running.  Haven't had time to check power source wiring yet, but also wondered if anyone else has had this happen?

Not a common problem, though, if you have any EMS sensor wires which are grounding out or connecting to places that they should be connected to, you can see some unpredictable effects. In particular, make sure everything with the 5V excitation line is looking good.

Wanted to let you all know that my power issues are fixed and it was entirely my installation error. The ring terminal bringing power to the avionics fuse block was not tightened. Thanks.
