Hi,
I have a D180 installed and I can't get the % power displayed.
I've followed the set-up instruction, but what I'm getting is ___%.

The MAP, RPM (hi yellow/red set to 2700) are fonctionning normally.
I don't have an OAT sensor, but I manually entered the OAT thru the EFIS menu.
So what am I missing here....

Other info:
Firmware is 5.0
Engine is Lyc, 180HP

Mike.

You cannot get % power unless you have an actual OAT sensor in the system.

I have a similar problem but the %power and fuel flow work intermittently and mostly off. I have the OAT, this is a fairly new problem, have had my D-180 since it was first sold.

Any solutions?

If FF is intermittent but the EFIS remains working, you have either a bad sender or a bad connection.  The Dynon simply counts "pulses" from the sender - if it goes to zero it's not seeing any.

Naturally, if it sees 0 FF then it believes power is 0.

I have a SV system and a "complete" engine harness: OAT, fuel flow, etc.

I selected Lycoming from engine page and set 160Hp, 2700 max. RPM, but the power % is not displayed.

What am I missing?

You must go into your engine pages and turn on the % power display.

Thanks.

Yes, I forgot to say. The --% is displayed on the EMS page, but no actual data is displayed.

MAP, RPM, altitude and OAT (on EFIS page) are working. Firmware is the latest. I also have fuel flow (red cube) and it works.

Is your engine running and in flight? It reads --- on the ground in many cases.

Also, have you re-named any of the MAP/RPM/Fuel flow names to anything non-standard?

No, I'm not flying yet. Engine works at ground (reached 2.200 RPM).

Now it passed from --% to 0% (when engine is off), after calibrating the left tank.

I will try again to see if it works at next start.

Thanks for now.
