Hello,
I am using a Efis D6 in my plane since 1/2 year and until yesterday everything was fine. While taxiing the attitude suddenly turned upside down. I stopped, shut down the Efis and started it again after 1min. When turning on the Efis again it showed correct attitude information for approximately 1sec and then again it turned upside down. (blue below and brown on top) :-[
After take-off everything was showing correct information but the attitude was still showing nonsense.
Well, the Instrument is quite new and my suggestion is that it is a hardware-problem due to a maybe failed accelerometer.
But...
I thought the instrument would give a failure message if an accelerometer inside would fail and it didn't.

When I shut down the Efis inflight and started it again after a little time it turned black/white,showed the message 'Attitude Correction' and the picture of sky and earth was working wright.
After about 5 sec the picture turned to colour again and the horizon was upside down again.
:'(

Does anybody know a solution or ever had this problem before?

That definitely sounds like a hardware problem. Please get in touch with our support team at 425-402-0433 or at support at dynonavionics dot com.

As an aside, there are cases where the EFIS can self-detect problems with the sensors, and this will result in a "cross-check attitude" or "horizon recovering" message, but that's not possible in all failure circumstances.
