Problem with 5.0 upgrade

Today I upgraded four instruments from 4.0 to 5.0. Everything went fine with three upgrades. While upgrading one of the D120s everything seemed ok and the laptop reported that the upgrade was successful. Unfortunately the D120 screen went blank and stayed blank. The computer no longer recognized that the instrument was connected. It was doing a convincing job of playing dead.

I swapped it out with another instrument and that works fine. What can be done to revive the dead duck?

It's possible that the unit was just frozen if it had keep alive power coming to it. Try hooking power back up to to it, without keep alive, to see if it's truly broken. If it comes back to life, it's likely the known problem with keep alive (we no longer recommend you connect it). If it doesn't come back to live after having disconnected/reconnected all power, we'll need to take a look at it here to troubleshoot further.
