product update problems

While attempting to update my firmware I connected to the computer and the computer says it has found the instrument on comm 4. I ask it to update and it then says connecting, then shortly it says it is attempting to connect on comm 4, then switches to comm 3 and finally gives an error message. The error message says it couldn't connect, but I can see it saying on the subscreen it has found instrument on say comm 3 or 4. Any suggestions? I'm pretty certain the wiring is correct.

This almost always means that we can receive data from the EFIS, but not send data to it. This usually is a wiring problem., but I think we have also heard of this being a USB-serial converter problem.

Check that your ground and transmit from the PC wires are correct. If you are 100% sure it is right, are you using our USB-serial or another brand?
