I am finishing all my wiring and plan to begin programming and calibrating my 180 this Saturday. However, I do NOT, after programming, want to keep the battery hooked up as there are other things that need to be done where I don't want the entire system "hot." Once programmed, will the 180 lose its memory and programming if it loses power? Will I have to keep the "keep alive" hot? Or once programmed, will power loss result in no loss of programming and calibration?

Calibrations and settings are saved to internal non-volatile flash memory that doesn't require power. So whether you have the battery or not, they will be preserved.

Keep alive shouldn't be connected under any circumstance.
