Question on depth of D-100, and D-120

I am VERY interested in using the D-100 and D-120 in a homebuilt I am getting.
Problem is, the above units are about 3/8" or so too deep....my plane has a front hinged canopy, and the canopy hinge supports are only 4" behind the instrument panel....and of course they are positioned right where I would need to place the units to be centered on my view!

So, is there some kind of "faceplate ring" or some such that I can use to space out the whole unit about 3/8"  or so?
Or, something else that I can do?
Would appreciate any idea's.....really want to use the units!

Rick,
We don't make a spacing ring or anything, but it should be possible.

Also to consider is re-doing the whole panel, since you are already cutting big holes. You can check out our customer panels section. The second to last photo is of an RV-6A tip-up that has the panel pushed forward about 1" to accomidate the D100 and D120.
