Does the current AP release support GPSS (just lateral) from GPS's with steering ability?

The current AP will fly lateral GPSS from a 430W/530W* if you connect via serial. If you connect via ARINC to an HS34, that will be a future update. Yes, this sounds backwards, but it's not. It was easier for us to do GPSS from serial than ARINC.

*Disclaimer: Not 100% sure if this has been tested with non-WAAS units.

Well you learn something everyday...

I was unaware that you could get GPSS out of a non ARINC serial line. Is this native out of the 430 or are you guys faking it in the software?

It's a blend, but it behaves exactly the way you want- it cuts the corner and follows the exact curve that is shown on the 430's screen.

Just another Dynon innovation that we don't charge you $375 for ;)

Ah! Magic behind the scenes.

Cool, thanks for building more value into your products without adding end cost to the user! One of the reasons I decided to use Dynon!
