Next week I am taking delivery of a new Piper Sport LTD which as the EFIS-D100 and the EMS-D120 system installed. In reading your Pilots User Guide it references the installatopn of a EDC-D10A. What is the EDC-D10A and will it be installed in my plane?
In addition, will I have a OAT sensor installed in the package.
Thanking you in advance,
Dick Russ

It's the device that senses magnetic heading. It's remoted (usually in the rear fuselage or the wing, depending on the aircraft) to keep it away from sources of magnetic interference, which are basically ferrous metal and power. Your aircraft will be equipped with one.
