Questions from a rookie

In researching what I want in my Lancair 360 panel, I think I have settled on a two screen Dynon set up IF the assumptions I have made can be verified as correct. Here are my assumptions: If I get a D100 EFIS and a D120 EMS and set it up correctly, then either screen can display the EFIS or EMS information. Also, since either screen can display both, I can also split either screen to display EFIS and EMS information simultaneously. I can also split the EFIS screen to show flight instruments and radio/nav info (HSI) simultaneously. Additionally, if I add the expansion module to the right of the PFD I am assuming I should leave space for an equal size module on the left side so that when Dynon adds an autopilot to this modular setup I won't have to do major surgery on my panel. Can someone please confirm these assumptions?

Also, a question for Dynon regarding the builder headstart. Do I get credit for the things I buy under this program when I order the full setup? And does Dynon ever offer any "show specials" such as Oshkosh?

Thanks so much

Doug,
If you have a D100 and a D120 you can display anything you want on either screen, and you can split any screen and do any two things on one screen.

As for autopilots, we don't make any promises about products that we have not released.

The builder headstart just allows customers to purchase everything we sell, such as wiring harnesses, mounting trays, and senders separate from the instrument. You don't get "credit" for these when you purchase your other equipment, but you don't re-buy it either. The cost at the end is exactly the same except for any additional shipping.

We don't have any show specials and never have. Please be aware that we currently have a 12 week backorder on instruments (everything else is in stock) and we don't charge your card until your unit ships.

Oh, and also note that a D100 and D120, while they can display one another's data, are not redundant. If you loose one instrument, the functions that instrument provides will be gone from the whole system.

If you wish to have a backup EFIS in the plane, A D180 and a D100 is the recommended solution.

Thanks very much. That's good to know about the redundancy, but I had already planned to go to a few old fashioned steam gages for backup of the PFD and EFIS. I'd do that even if I had the D180, D100 setup. Just too much of an old timer I guess.

Thanks again. Looks like I will soon be adding to your 12 week backlog
