I would like to read Main and Aux battery voltage with the Skyview EMS. I know that 2 voltage chanels are provisioned.

The question is. Is there any down side risk to Skyview if the
voltage is taken directly from the battery positive terminal via a 1 amp fuse prior to the EMS? Is it bad for the Skyview EMS to have voltage applied if the aircraft is shutdown and parked, no power applied to the EMS or Skyview?

Thanks

The EMS is designed to take power from an unswitched path to the battery. It's fine for the voltage measurement pins to have voltage when the system is off.

On a 12V plane, this will draw about 0.25mA from these pins, which would take about 20,000 hours to wear down a normal aircraft battery (3 years).
