Having read all the old posts about using a MAC in the download process to Skyview, I still don't have a definitive answer. So again, can I in fact use my MacBook for firmware/software downloads and product installations? Yes or No, please. I'm not a techy, just plug and play. Thanks to all.

Yes.

Any computer with a USB port and internet access can be used to update a SkyView. PC, Mac, Linux all work fine. All you are doing is downloading a file from the internet and putting it on a USB stick.
