I have the SV HDX EFIS and a VP-X Sport unit in my RV-7A. I've configured SV to take inputs from VP for the elevator trim and flap position, and the Ray Allen position sensor inputs are accordingly wired to VP. All appears to be working correctly, except there is a red x over the flap position widget.
According to VP, this problem would be due either to miswiring of serial data ports between SV and VP or a configuration issue in SV. Serial ports have been double-checked and seem to be OK since everything else VP-related displays as expected on the EFIS. In EMS sensor mapping I set the position input lines for flap and elevator to "not used" per Dynon tech support. "D37 P22" still is displayed under the flaps widget though. (Nothing under the trim widget)
The last Dynon tech I talked to wasn't familiar with VP at all and did not seem to understand their own system that well. He suggested removing and replacing the widget, and I don't know of a way to do that.
Has anyone run into something like this? VP and Dynon only know their own systems and are speculating on what happens in the interface.
