I have a GPS396, HS34, D100 and SL30 radio. The NAV frequency
list from the 396 to SL30 would be corrupted, showing a COM
frequency when the stack got hot. This was localized to an HS34
temp sensitivity. I'm posting here because both Dynon and Garmin
said they had never seen this before. I debugged it by tapping the
serial data HS34 in and Out, and logging with my laptop in flight.
I guess I became Flight Engineer, as well as mechanic and pilot.

Hi Bill,

If you have an early 2006 CT then they didn't come with a cowl fan setup to keep things cool behind the panel. The later models all had two 12V fans. One in the panel mounted to blow in and the other to suck air out of the panel in the map holders. This makes a big difference in heat build up. They are easy to come by at Radio Shack and easy to install. You know where I'm at if you need any help.
