Is there a way to already or (through an update) to map some of the screen button functions to a remote switch?

For instance i would like to use the hat switch as a duplicate function of the knob on the screen bezel. I understand that the knob has more inputs and only 4 of them could be mapped to a single hat switch.

I reckon that since there are no switched input wires in the harness it complicates it but i am also using a vpx. Could they work together software wise to allow for remote switching control of the sv screen?

Not at the moment. It's something we think about, but, nothing to promise. Note that the display does have a few wires that are currently unused that could be used to trigger things. They're not hooked up in software today, though.

I want this feature! my seating position is reclined
Im not an avionics guy or know if this is possible but...
One thought is to consider a small box that inputs joystick wires on one side and a serial connector for the EFIS on the other.
the box can turn the multiple joystick wires into a signal/data line so the number of used serial wires into the EFIS is greatly reduced.
then add to the software to assign buttons to commands, even have a feature that uses two buttons at once - so one pushon/pushoff button can double the amount of commands on the stick.
This is a lot of work, I know, but it gives some future proofing for dedicating wires in the unit, I really want something like this :)
