I have written about this in the past with no response. That being said, I would like to politely renew my request for EGT normalizing. Those flying with 6 or 9 cylinders and monitor EGTs may have a difficult time spotting small changes when viewing so many cylinders. Since the EGT number is really not a factor, but more of trend (increase/decrease), I would like to see Dynon input a simple EGT normalizing function that level sets all the EGT bars straight across the line. The real EGT temp can still be displayed but with the EGT bars normalized, or level set to some arbitrary level, changes in EGT temps can be quickly spotted. I was told from Dynon that this is a very easy to do request, yet I never see it. I'm sure other might find this normalizing helpful, especial those that understand the significance of detecting trends for maintenance and troubleshooting.
Another issue that have been vexing me is the gear monitoring circuit. I monitor my gear and have the alert to check at 80kts to verify gear position. This works with one exception, I am on short final at 80kts as well as best climb rate. So on climb, with gear up, I get the "check gear" audio. Any lower than 80kts and I am at landing speed, any higher and I will hit the same speed on climb out. Ideas?
