I have Flight Design's CTSW aircraft with Rotax 912ULS (made in 2006). In this aircraft Flydat engine monitoring system is installed. Can I replace Flydat with EMS-180 or EMS-10 without replacing the originally installed probes. I would like just to add fuel flow meter to the system. Flydat doesn't show data in graphical format (digits only) and doesn't show fuel information - so these are my main purposes of replacing the Flydat.

If the Flydat uses the Rotax's pre-installed engine sensors, which includes oil temp, oil pressure, and CHTs, those should work. EGTs would work if they are type J thermocouples (they usually are). The remaining sensors, which include fuel pressure, MAP (if desired), OAT, and amps (via a shunt) would need to be ours.

Also, if your CT is a US-registered SLSA, note that you need explicit manufacturer approval and instructions before you can change anything in your airplane. Consult a Flight Design representative for more details on this point.
