Restoring Settings saved from previous Firmware

Dear Dynon Support,

I made a backup copy of my D120 settings in October 2010.

My D120 has just returned from you after a hardware repair, the settings were lost, with firmware 5.4.3 loaded.

I will update my D100 before refitting my D120 so that they have the same firmware.

My question is will my backup settings saved on my laptop load up onto my D120 as they were saved when the D120 was using an earlier firmware version?

The short answer is that no, older settings backups aren't compatible with new firmware versions.
