Hi, I apologise if this has been covered before but I'm new to this forum.
I  am fitting a D-180 in my RV 7 and am using an O360 fitted with Bendix mags. The right mag has a second set of breakers and these were used to supply tacho information in the Robinson R22 the engine came from. Is this output suitable to connect to the D-180? If so, do you think the supplied ballast resistors are right or should I substitute others of a different value?
Many thanks,
Andy

Andy,
Not sure if those breakers will output something we can use, as we've never been asked this or tired it. We generally just use the P-Leads, and I don't see a reason that you can't do that in this case.

Thanks for the info. I'll use the P leads. The mag has a flying lead with a socket coming out of it and it just seemed tidier to use it. It might be possible to reconfigure it as a retard breaker and use it to start on both mags.
