I have two 7" Skyview displays and when I turn on the pilot side display it generates so much RF noise my com squelch opens. This doesn't happen with the co-pilot display. I verified all the cables and connectors are tight and even tried connecting an additional ground to it but with no luck. Any ideas of what I can do in the field or do I have to send it back to get this corrected?

It would be interesting to swap the two displays and see if the RF noise moved to the co-pilot side or not. If it doesnt move, then its not the display.

Please contact Dynon Avionics Technical Support with this issue - support (at) dynonavionics (dot) com or 425-402-0433. Please have your SkyView display's S/N available, which you can see at SETUP MENU > LOCAL DISPLAY SETUP > DISPLAY HARDWARE INFORMATION.

I already did it and the noise follows the display.

Ok, I will get to the airplane on Saturday and get the SN off the affected display. I was hoping there was something I could do in the field.

I have updated hardware for displays and EMS (aka replaced with fix), etc.. I get the noise when the copilot display boots up. The SV-700 (copilot display) was not part of the SN range that was recalled, however due to a firmware upgrade failure I needed to ship back for repair and it was tested successfully. Never hear it again after boot-up so I am living with it.
