Aircraft: RV-7A
Problem: Roll Oscillation with A/P On
Servo: SV32 - Autopilot Servo part: 100754-000
Skyview HDX1100

When flying in turbulence (light chop or higher) I often get a left/right roll oscillation of about 2 cycles/sec which I have to dampen out with the stick to stop it. Anyone know how to fix this? Using the Dynon autopilot and roll servo.

TIA

You need to complete both ground and in-flight autopilot calibration. Specifically, your roll gain may be set too high.
Thanks vlittle!

Ya, I did the ground A/P calibration - didn't know there was an in-flight calibration. I'm pretty sure that would fix it.

8. Autopilot Operation
This chapter guides you through the functionality, symbology, and operation of the SkyView Autopilot. It assumes that the Autopilot servos have been properly installed, calibrated, tested, and tuned according to the procedures in the SkyView Classic / SE / HDX System Installation Guide and the SkyView Autopilot In-Flight Tuning Guide.
From the User's Manual...

No wonder I couldn't find the procedure: If its in the User/Install manuals, I couldn't find it.

From the Installation manual: "The latest revision of the SkyView Autopilot In-Flight Turning Guide can be downloaded from
dynon.com/docs." Yep, its there.
