I am trying to get to the bottom of power setting a Rotax 912iS with a constant speed propeller.
My latest advice, yet to be confirmed by the factory, is that this is to be done by reference to fuel flow not MAP because the engine runs LOP.
The question then becomes whose fuel flow figure? The Rotax CAN Bus fuel flow from the ECU or the "Red Cube" differential fuel flow? Then there is the issue of "indicated" or "calibrated" fuel flow.
I think from reading the sky view installation manual that the EMS gives me the choice of EITHER the red cube flow OR the CAN bus flow figure.
Is it possible to have both displayed?
