Hi again,

using the search function on the forum, I found a little inconsistency in replies given to similar questions regarding the Rotax 912 oil temperature sender, which is fitted by default from Rotax.

In this message dated 12/07/2006 you say that you work with the default oil temperature sender:

whilst in this other message dated 12/22/2006 you say that your own sender must be used:

Which one of the two answers is the right one? :-?

Ciao, Luca

They both are, sort of <grin>. You can't use just any sensor arbitrarily since we do a fair amount of work to characterize every sensor that our products are compatible with. So in addition to the sensors we sell ourselves, we support a few other types of sensors for each sensor type - these are usually sensors that are pre-installed on the engines we support (like Rotax and Jabiru). Take a look at the second half of our EMS installation guide for a list of the supported sensors for each input.
