Hello,

I want to connect the RPM wire of my 912S to the EMS.

In the installation guide I found two different ways:

1. Following is written in the Table 29–Example Rotax 912 37-pin Connector Sensor Map:

32 White/Green RPM Left (standard)
33 White/Blue RPM Right (standard)

2. Following is written on p. 6-27:

Trigger Coil (Rotax)
The Rotax 912 engines have a 5th trigger coil for the purposes of electrically monitoring rev counts. This trigger coil outputs to a two[ch8208]wire harness. Connect either of the two wires to ground; connect the other to the standard RPM Left input on the SV EMS220.

How should I connect the 2 wires for RPM: to pin 32 and 33 or to pin 32 and ground?

Thanks!

Regards,

On the chart, pin 33 should be marked as "not connected". We'll update that. The more verbose instructions in the manual are correct: connect either of the two wires to ground; connect the other to the standard RPM Left input on the SV-EMS-220.
