After reading many blogs it seems my Honeywell oil pressure sender is dying. I plan on putting in a Kavlico sold by Dynon and have questions:
*will the 180 Dynon have to be reprogramed? Mine goes back to 2010.
*Dynon recomends the oil sender be iosolated away from the engine. Who can suppy the hose and fittings for this isolation. Is there a ventor or anyone that has worked this out?

If the software in your D180 hasn't been updated to 5.4.2 or later, which was released in Dec 2011, then yes, you'll need to update it: http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/RevLog_FlightDEKD180.html.

Also, I should note that if you have a US-based S-LSA, you'll need to touch base with the manufacturer before you switch the sensor. If it's an E-AB or E-LSA, then of course you can do what you want.

Also, Rotax has a new not made by Honeywell but electrically equivalent sensor that they've moved to more recently. Can't speak for its reliability, but, it's out there.
