Hi Guys,

The only part of my Skyview which does not work correctly are the subject temperature gauges. The aircraft used to have a Rotax Flydat unit and this used thermocouple with brown wires.

The Skyview installation manual says that they should be resistive in which case the cables I am using are incorrect. If I had just had the standard clock gauges on my aircraft originally then these would have been driven by the correct cables and sensors.

As the Installation Manual says that I could re-use my existing cables, am I to take it that it is referring to the clock gauge wires?

regards

So which temperature sensors are we talking about here? In our 912 kits, the CHTs are non-thermocouple sensors which come pre-installed on the engines (but if you have type K thermocouple CHTs, they can be made to work too). EGTs are type K thermocouples. Just need a little more data here to be able to answer the question a bit better.

My sensors are type K Thermocouples which were fitted so that we could use the Rotax Flydat unit. Standard sensors for CHT and Oil Temp are non thermocouple and so I have ordered a couple of them from Rotax.

I shall then be able to connect them to the 37 Pin plug in place of the currently fitted K Type thermocouples.

Thanks
