Rotax RPM pulse rate

I have just started up my Europa aircraft for the first time, fitted with a rotax 914 turbo engine and have skyview classic displays fitted. I have wired pin 13 of the TCU to pin 34 of the EMS loom and pin 26 of the TCU to pin 30 of the EMS loom. Now when it was at idle the rev counter displayed its idle speed at about 10,000rpm. I have checked in the dynon manual and page 7-40 under 914 it states set pulses/revolution to SETUP MENU>HARDWARE..................BUT my question is what do you set it to as there is no figure given??

I think the setting is "1", but that's also probably the default. I think we may have a type-o in the manual here. Change your connection to the EMS from pin 34 to pin 32 (which is one of the higher voltage tach inputs). That will likely help here.
