Rotec Radial Tach

My Rotec Radial 2800 uses an electronic ignition to control the low side of a transformer primary side; the secondary is for the spark plug current through a distributor. The high side of the transformer primary is 12VDC. Can I use the low side control for the Tach input to the D180? I will set the pulse per revolution to 3.5 with the 7 cylinder engine.

As long as the output goes below 2.5V and above 10V, it should work, so I'm guessing it will. If it's only 12V, you don't want any resistance between the high side and the D180.
