RPM: 6 cylinder engine pulse per rev?

Good day,

Had my first engine start and chasing down a high rpm reading.
Its a new engine so i dont want to redline it yet 2700, just to get play with the pulse/rev setting to correspond. Being a new airframe and engine combo to myself i dont have a feel for engine sound vs actual rpm...

My setup 6 cylinder std lycoming io540 with normal mags.
The rpm pickup of the p leads with 30k ohm resistor

What is the correct pulse/rev setting for the skyview for my setup?

I have the same setup Rudi. As I remember it the side that has the mag has 1.5 as the multiplier due to the mag turning slower per crank revolution than the 4 cyl engines.

Thank you, and YES I can confirm. You are correct 1.5 times for the std 6 cylinder.
