I would like to ask you for help with RPM indicator on Dynon D120, which displays incorrect values. We have connected in parallel analog RPM indicator for test and we get correct values. Where could be problem, if we assume we have connected everything correctly? Software/Firmware v5. Is there any chance that software/firmware reinstall will help?

Thanks, Petr

Petr,
Is the RPM jumping around or is it stable?
What kind of engine is this?

If it's stable, but just off by a multiplier, then you need to set the pulses per revolution in the setup menu. If it reads high, you need to set this number higher, and vice versa.

If it's a Lycoming 6 cylinder engine and you are hooked to the magnetos, you may need to increase the resistor value as was mentioned.

Both of these things are covered in more detail in the install manual.
