I have installed a D120 on my zenair 701. My EGT CHT OIL PRESSURE OIL TEMP are all working well, my tack on the other hand will not register properly.With the 30 ohm resistor the rpm is showing 2420 max rpm so I put in a 1.2ohm res.at setting 1.5 rpm3280 max at setting1.0 rpm 4780 max but the lower rpm increasea also.NEED HELP.

First, what engine are you running? Next, are we talking a 30 ohm resister or a 30K ohm (30,000 ohm) resistor here?
IT is a rotax 912 80 hp . after speaking with the teck suport I installed a 60k ohm resistor and the unit seams to be registering properly,with referencing with a prop rpm reader.I had to pitch the 68 inch warp drive prop to 7 degres to get 5200 rpm on a static pull. Now I have to see how much it will pull (lbs).trust.
