Adding a GD40 carbon monoxide detector to my D180 &HS34 panel. The GPS is connected to the HS34. What is the best connection for the RS232 from/to the GD40 please?

There seems to be options through the EMS and EFIS connectors.

John,
The D180 doesn't have any software to support the GD40, so there is no reason to connect it.

It looks like the gd40 has a relay that goes to ground when an alarm activates. You should be able to connect this lead to pin 9 or 10 on the EMS D37 connector and configure the contact. That should get you a visual alarm on the EMS screen. Hopes this helps. Bob
