Hi,
Can anyone advise what im doing wrong. I have a 100 + 120 working great with DSAB but i cant get a connection to either of them.

I have tried multiple RS232 devices (usb type) and installed the Dynon software and PL2303 driver. My device shows its all working fine on com 7 or 8 depending on which usb i plug in too. Both devices have factory looms. The 120 is a factory loom, and the 100 is supplied from APS our UK dealer, and this has a switch and 3.5 mm socket. Anyhow no mater what i try it does not detect firmware versions or communicate. Any suggestions? When networked are both devices still treated as seperate and each use their own rs232 plug. Could i have a ground issue maybe?

Regards

Hi to save save you replying i sused it. For some odd reason i found it will work only if i use a specific usb port (com 8) so it working fine. I have upgrded both my 100 & 120 to Version 5. Thanks anyway. FYI i found that I got a message saying my EDC was not detected and i should connect it. Well i beleive this is my remote compas and for sure it was connected so i went with the update anyway. Its all fine after the update i just wonder why it gave me that message. Thanks Kev

You'll get that message if the support program can't see the remote compass through the EFIS. The last few compass versions are identical, so as long as your heading tape is working, this is basically a non-issue practically, but is odd nonetheless.

Also, do you remember whether or not the Support Program displayed the message "instrument found on COM X" BEFORE you hit go on the upload?
