I bought my 10A a couple of years ago, the battery is dead. Do I need to keep it charged in order for the battery to last? How long should the battery be good for in both the charged and dead conditions?
Thanks,

The battery keeps the clock in the EFIS running, so it does draw some power. On top of that, we only ship the batteries about half charged. Having it be dead from a half charge after a few years isn't unexpected.

We do recommend storing the battery in a semi-charged condition. It would be a good idea to plug the EFIS in for 10-20 hours and let it charge up. You might also want to plug it in to a PC and do a software update since we've had a lot of revisions since then.
