This sounds crazy to me, I changed out the trim motor in the tail cone today as part of complying with SD 00001. Everything went fine, calibration went fine, but when I did my run up prior to take off both left and right EGT readings maxed out at 460*+-, thought it was weird they both read the correct ambient temp prior to start
, I checked it again after take off and noticed readings were still in that range, changing slightly as you fly along, both left and right CHT readings as well as everything else reads normally, I can’t see how changing trim motor could change this, all wires are pinned correctly in plug and triple checked. Any ideas before my call to Van’s and Dynon tomorrow?.
