RV-8 roll servo - drilling the aileron bellcrank

I just drilled the aileron bellcrank to #11 to take the AN3H-17A bolt that attaches the servo arm.  But the 1 7/8 inch bolt won't go in the hole because the other leg of the bellcrank that supports the aileron pushrod gets in the way. I am not keen on making the hole oversize or oval to overcome this.

How have people solved this please?

Re: RV-8 roll servo - drilling the aileron bellcra

G'day,
I had the same problem. I thought I was being quite clever by drilling undersize and then reaming. I applied a gentle bit of force, just by hand, to spring open the 'c chanel' which gave me just enough room to get the bolt in. Exactly where you drilled the hole will dictate how much force you have to apply or if this method is a possibility. If your hole is too far to one side this method probably won't work.
Cheers
Nigel
