I'm confused on the Orange and Violet wires on the 472.

I am connecting the 472 to serial port #4 on the HDX.

Serial port #4 on the D37 connector is the Blue/Violet (RX) and the Blue/Orange (TX)

But on the 472, the Orange wire is RX and the Violet wire is the TX.

So does the 472 RX go to the HDX TX, and the 472 TX go to the HDX RX?

Seems like RX should connect to RX and TX to TX, no?

This post might be confusing to read, but basically I'm asking if RX and RX go together, or if RX and TX go together.

EDIT: I can see how it would make sense that a signal is transmitted (TX) from the EFIS and has to be received (RX) by the 472, and vice versa.

I just want to make sure before I connect the wires.

Thank you!

TX goes to RX. You transmit from one and receive on the other.
