Screen swap issue.

Good morning...About 2 months back I had to send my EMs10a becuse the screen went blank when I was updating the software. I finally reinstalled the unit last night and it worked just fine but when I pressed button #6 expecting the EFIS to appear on the EMS...Nothing happens the engine monitor screen continues to show.

I assume you did the software upgrade when you had my unit. The screen swap was working fine before i pulled the unit out.

Is there anything i am missing...the interface cable is all plugged in as before and all the sensors are reading room temperature so i assume all the wiring is working.

For the EFIS to display by pressing the rightmost key, that key must be setup as a "hot key". We try and keep your setup when a unit is in for repair, but depending on what broke, sometimes this is not possible, so it may be that your hot key setup has been reset at the factory.

Of course, you also need the EFIS and EMS hooked together for this to work. Please verify that your EFIS serial port transmit line is hooked to your EMS serial recieve line and that the hot key is turned on in the setup menu. If this doesn't fix it let us know and we'll look deeper.

Ah ha!...Thanks...Yes it was all working perfectly and its all plugged in so i will check the hot key setup.
