Seattle Charts detail missing

I just loaded the latest chart data. Both LO and SEC show up on Layers but they are both just light blue with very little detail, a few rivers. There is no detail like airways, VOR's Airports, et.

I did leave an email at Seattle support but thought I would also post here.

Anybody every seen this?

Hi Gary,

I know that our Support has already replied to you with a fix but, for anyone else looking here:

The key files (license files) for the Sectionals were in an old format for about an hour this cycle (side effect of making a very quick fix to the LO charts last cycle). We caught it during our testing and immediately stopped the downloads until the fixed files were uploaded. We didn't think anyone had downloaded the new Sectionals during that window so didn't post a generic message but apparently at least a few people did.

If you do have a problem seeing some of the Sectionals on SkyView, try this:

For the NEW Sectionals only (that is, the ones you downloaded that had changed THIS month not Sectionals downloaded previously):

1. Go to:
http://seattleavionics.com

2. Scroll down to the Dynon logo and click it

3. Log into the Dynon section

4. Go to the Manual Download (Mac) section of the download data area

5. Click the link for SkyView v 13 or later data.

6. For the new sectionals -- click "Download license key" for each state involved. You do NOT need to click the "Download Chart" link as that downloads the vastly large actual data files. The "license key" files are super tiny.

7. Put those tiny keyfiles on your USB stick (s) in the \ChartData directory on the stick. You'll know you have the right directory if you see lots of files like *Dynon.key

Thanks for the quick reply. I already forced a new download of the chart (SEC and LO) before this message came through. Just want to clarify the light blue background with very little detail is exactly the same on both the SEC and LO selections.

I'll be flying tomorrow and will report back. I assume it will be fixed with the forced download of new date and deleting the chart data on the USB.

My USB has all 3 keyfiles (LO, HI, SEC), but I'm still only seeing buttons for SEC and HI. Help?

I also had the "keyfiles" loaded but it didn't work. It only started working after all files were deleted off the PC and I forced a new download of all files. Did you try deleting the old key files and downloading the new ones per Steve's procedure above?

No, because his procedure didn't say to do that, but I had a sneaking suspicion that's where this was leading...delete everything off of the PC and the USB stick and start over. Sigh.

Hey Steve,
I think what Steve was saying is you only need to download the new key files, not the charts. I had already deleted and formatted the USB's so I had no choice but to download everything.
