Seem to have damaged D1 by direct power connection

Hi,
i have not seen that power needs to be 5V and i connected directly. to 12V battery....so.D1 does not start ..
any idea if i have to send it back or any issue?

Unfortunately, your D1 is damaged and will need to be repaired. We do put warnings on the vehicle adapter itself, on a separate information card at the top of the D1 box, and in the User's Guide that try to prevent the D1 from being directly connected to ship's power without an appropriate adapter.
