I have a SV-GPS-250 connected to D37 pins 11 and 12 as the primary GPS source. I am connecting a Garmin 396 serial out to SV pin 9 Serial 4 RX for backup GPS data. I also need to use a SV TX to send altitude data to my Garmin 327 transponder. Does it matter which TX port I use? Should I move up to Serial 3 TX pin 8 or can I use Serial 4 TX pin 10 for the altitude data?

You can use any TX to send to the GTX327 but the SV RX and TX have to be the same baud for the same port. So if you have GPS495 (TX) -> SV (RX) on port 4 at 9600 baud, you could also have SV (TX) -> GTX327 (RX) on port 4 at 9600 baud.

What you might want to do is use one SV port to TX and RX from the GTX327 and the transponder info will show up on the top line of SV with ver 2.6 software.
